Alpha-b – Institut Linguistique, is a private language school specialised in the teaching of French as a foreign language. We are located in Nice and operating since 1993.
Since the very beginning administration and teaching staff has been animated by the very same target : Quality and satisfaction of our students.

Our teachers are native speakers and all of them have a Univerity degree.

Besides general language teaching abilities, every teacher can ensure language training in a specific language field.
This includes : Commercial French, Legal French, European Law, Developing Assistance, Coaching, French for hotel trade and tourism, Management…
Our teachers take regularly part in professional trainings in order to learn about new teaching methods and technologies.

Quality Accommodation Choice
At Alpha.b we consider accommodation as a key position for a successful language course in France.
All placements are done by our own accommodation service. Any kind of offered accommodation is regularly inspected by our accommodation staff and evaluated by students with the help of questionnaires.

Quality Culture and Leisure Programme
We offer an activity programme of about 15 to 20 hours per week. This programme is optional and allows not only to learn more about Nice and its surroundings but also to meet other participants outside the classroom situation.
Very nice moments to share and occasion to continue the language learning process.

Quality Premises
Whether you stay in our 2nd summer centre in the Cimiez district (within a 3 minutes walk to the Chagall museum, Matisse Museum, Roman Amphitheatre and a 15 minutes bus ride to the beach) or in our main school (open year-round, located in the town centre) you are in the very heard of « Belle Epoque » style. Both mansions have been entirely renovated and you will find the architecture of the beginning of the last century mixed with our own very personal touch.
Modern equipment like air condition, free Internet access, WIFI connection, video, DVD and TV… Each centre disposes of huge classrooms and a big private garden with palms and organge trees.

Accreditations, Memberships, Inspections
To prove our honesty and to validate our quality scheme, we became member of different quality associations and organisations. Moreover, we are accreditated by Ministries and have to undertake regular inspections!

• Alpha.b was inspected by the Austrian Ministry of Education. L’inspection took place on teaching, accommodation and additional services. We have been marked :	GOOD/VERY GOOD.
• Alpha.b is accredited by: CSN The Swedish Naional Board of Student Aid
• BILDUNGSURLAUB Educational holidays for people working in Germany. Our Intenive and Combination Courses are accredited by the main Länder in Germany.
Alpha.b is registered as a private institution of higher education by the Ministry of French education and as a professional continuing education institution by the French Ministry of Labor.

On request of former students, the association Lingua Franca was founded in partnership with Alpha.b. The idea is to keep in touch but also to assist all those who want to extend their stay in France by finding a work or who wish to settle definitively down in France.
